Busybusybusy

Classes have been very busy! Between the two English classes, I have a ton of reading each night and then with the math class on top of that... There's a lot of work to be done!

Both English classes are going well, the poetry one is fun because all we've done so far is pick apart poems. Although tomorrow we're starting to learn all the nitty gritty details of meter and accents and feet and all that fun stuff. In the other English class, we've started reading a book called Critical Theory Today, and it's all about the various literary theories there are and how to apply them to texts. All very interesting stuff!

The weather has been teasing us a bit here. It looks gorgeous out, with a few big fluffy white clouds scattered amongst the blue sky. But as soon as I step outside and the wind hits, BRRR it's chilly! Can't wait for it to be hot out!

Last Thursday it was actually a nice temperature outside, so Kara and I drove to Yakima and longboarded on that same trail that she got hurt on so badly last year. We went 2 miles on the trail before deciding we were tired and should probably turn back! The wind on the way back made it really hard because we had to push against it the whole way, but overall it was really fun!

  1. Wowzer - busy busy! I will enjoy following your experience with poetry and writing theory - especially since you have written some pretty nice stuff in the past, maybe without knowing so much about the scientific details!

It has been pretty dreary and rainy here for soooo long. Now and then we have one nice day.

Christy and I shall run in the Tulip Run this weekend and then have a BIG costco muffin in your honor!
