Grade update!

Alright we are 4 weeks or so into winter quarter, and this quarter I've been trying to study more. Last quarter was a good start but this time I wanted to try and get all A's, so I've been working harder. So here's a grade update of what I've got so far.
English 102: 93%
IT 101: 94%
Psych 101: 93%
Anthro 130: No idea, professor never posts grades online...

So yeah, so far so good! We just took a test in Anthropology yesterday and I'm anxious to see what I got on it.

This weekend I'm not scheduled to work, so I'm babysitting a friend's baby on Friday night and then going to the pass on Saturday to just hang out.

Finally!

It's FINALLY snowing back in Ellensburg today! Just when we were finally getting all the slushy ice off the sidewalks it decides to give us some more so that on the way to my early classes I can slip and fall on the ice some more...

Last night I walked up to the water tower with Rose, Brandon, Loren, Nathan, Kara, and Hope. The way up was super icy and it was really entertaining coming back down since we were all sliding around and crashing into each other.

I went to Starbucks today with Loren and Nathan to study for our psychology exam tomorrow. I'm not too worried about it since I've already taken psychology and I know just about everything on the study guide the professor gave us so it shouldn't be too bad.

Hopefully the snow keeps up! Right now it's not sticking very much, and the weather says it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Apartment shopppinnng

So the past couple days, 3 of my friends and I have been looking around at apartments and duplexes to rent for next year. We have 3 options that we're looking into right now, we just all are trying to figure out which will be best. All are super close to campus and will be much better than living in the dorms (we get our own kitchen, hello!!) so that's pretty exciting.

I've been doing a lot of stuff for my computer class. I got the package from Paul that had the programs that I needed and installed them on my laptop and so now I can do all my computer class assignments in my dorm instead of at the library! Huzzah, tis much more convenient!

The rest of tonight looks like computer class stuff and then take some psychology notes (the professor posts all her powerpoints online) and then sleep! Thinking about getting up early to go running tomorrow morning.

interesting ride back to CWU

So I've been at home the past few days after I spent the night at the Pig Pen on Friday and worked Saturday night.

Today Kara and I were on our way back to CWU and were about 20 minutes away when we had to pass a big long line of Semi trucks driving in the right lane. So we were in the left lane trying to get by them all as fast as we could when one of them started to pull over into the left lane as we were passing it. It's cab was in front of us so we aren't sure if the driver just didn't look or if he just couldn't see us since those trucks have sucky visibility. Kara blared her horn at it and it kept coming over so she slammed on the brakes and pulled off onto the side of the road into the gravel and we were slipping and sliding and then the back of the truck hit the side of her car and scraped it and knocked all the glass out of her sideview mirror. The truck didn't stop, it just kept on driving, so Kara called 911 and we followed the truck all the way to the Ellensburg exit where State Patrol pulled the truck and us over.

We're both ok, but this wasn't the truck driver's first time hitting something so the State Patrol guy said that the truck driver will probably lose his job this time.

So that's my excitement for today! The rest of this week is going to feel so boring now...

Sleep-in Thursdays!

Since my IT 101 class only meets three times and then the rest of it is online and independent work, that means I get to sleep in until 10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays now! I can't wait for tomorrow, I can't remember the last time I didn't have to wake up at 7... Even on weekends!

blarg

Went up to work Friday night, stood in the freezing rain for 3 hours, took a break, worked for another 2 hours in the freezing rain, took another break, worked for half an hour, then went to the PigPen to spend the night since I was going to work saturday as well. But I don't think standing in the freezing rain did me any good because I wasn't feeling well so I called in sick and apparently a whole bunch of other people got sick too.

So now I'm at home. Tomorrow Kara is taking me to see Avatar in 3-D at Imax, which should be super cool. That's a really good movie, or at least I think so, so I can't wait to see it again! Then it's back to school! I can't wait, because all my classes this quarter are super interesting

classes!

Today was the first day of classes! First at 9 I had my IT class, which is a mostly on line class so we only have to show up in class on test days and the first three days and then everything else we have to do is on our own, which will be nice since I don't want to wake up early and walk to the other side of campus in the slush every tuesday and thursday...

Then Loren and I hung around for an hour until our psychology class, which is held in a REALLY big auditorium since it's a class of about 200 people. This class seems like a lot of fun! I love psychology.

Then I walked back to my dorm for a little bit and then at 1 I went to my cultural anthropology class which seems like it will be very interesting! My professor for that class reminds me a lot of my favorite teacher ever, my 9th grade english teacher. So that should be fun!

Tomorrow I have English 102 with Kara at 9 and  then psychology at 11 again and anthropology at 1 again. Super excited to see what my English class will be like!

For the rest of today, I'm just sitting around in my pajamas, cleaning up my messy room, downloading itunes, putting up christmas lights, and eating delicious chips and salsa! Oh and also reading chapter 1 in my anthropology book...

Back in the Burg!

So I got back to Ellensburg yesterday to find SO much snow!!! It's fantastic! And THEN I woke up this morning and looked out the window to see that it was DUMPING snow! I'm super excited to go play in it, but I just took a shower and now I have to wait for my hair to dry so it won't freeze!

Later today I'm going to go to the cashier's office and pay for this quarter and then Kara and Loren and I are going to Fred Meyer to buy some somewhat healthy food since we said we would all try and eat better.

I would have updated last night but since I have the new laptop I had to reconfigure the internet to it. Twas a pain, but it's all good now :)
