Exactly One Month

I have exactly one month from today to get my running stamina up enough to run 10 miles straight. On June 26th, Loren is doing the Vashon Island Ultramarathon, and I'm planning on being his pacer for the last 10 miles because he doesn't have one yet. So this month will be spent running running running!! I'm going to be so nervous and excited and aagh! I hope I can do it without my foot acting up again...

Loren got a brand new pair of Vibrams today called the Bikila's. They're the first Vibram shoe specifically designed for running, and I tried them on and they're pretty awesome! Tonight I'm going to go run in my Vibrams as the first day of training for my 10 miles. Haha, I feel so lame being my age and not being able to run 10 miles. Oh well, whateverrrr

  1. Good luck .. a big challenge! Hope it works. Remember my training and running motto - Start slow and ease off.

    Seriously - don't over do - that is a big jump up in mileage and bodies like to build up slow over time!!

    Do you have enough classes next Fall for a full load? Seemed like just three you mentioned. I liked them - nice variety.

  3. yeah, those three add up to 14 credits, and to be a full time student you need a minimum of 12 credits. So that's all good!

    I'm going to try really hard not to overdo it. I'm just afraid that I don't have enough time to work up to that much mileage!
